~School Success Starts With Attendance~
Dear Roadrunner Families,
This week we embark on the 6th week of the school year! Teachers and Students are in routines and beginning of the year assessements have been completed and students are navigating units of study aligned to grade level standards.
Please take a moment to check and monitor your child's school attendance in your Parent Portal, Infinite Campus. If your child has missed more than 2-5 days of school thus far it is important that they are in regular attendance moving forward.
Arriving to school on time matters. It is difficult for students to transition into their morning routine when the classroom has already unpacked, gathered materials and are school ready at 8:50 when the bell rings. Classroom teachers pick up thier classlines at 8:45am with the goal to move students into learning by 8:50am. So when students are still arriving at 8:50 or after they are already behind in getting their school day started on the right foot.
Keep in mind that the school gates OPEN at 8:30 and will close promptly at 8:50. The warning bell rings at 8:45 and students arriving at that time are to walk striaght to class. Students arriving after the gates closed will be marked tardy.
Attending school establishes a routine and discipline in a student's life. This is valuable not only for their education but also for thier future, as it helps develop the management and organizational skills. We appreciate your support and commitment to helping our Roadrunners be successful.
Sincerely,
JoeAnna Hernandez~ Principal
~UPDATE School Parking Lot~
We NEED everyone's help in our school parking lot. Safety is our top priority and we are asking for your support with this matter. To ensure the well-being of our students, please remember to unload ONLY in the designated cone zone and not from your car outside of the cone zone in the loop. Your cooperation helps keep our campus safe for everyone. In addition, if parking across the street, ONLY use the crosswalk at the intersection to cross onto the school campus. Thank you for your support!
