Community Service Opportunities

Thank you!

A huge thank you to all who helped out with the efforts to accept, sort, and load donations for the Bridge Connection. On one day, there was enough support to load up a horse trailer and a flat bed trailer in less than an hour. Volunteers went out with food, jackets, blankets, and toiletries on several occasions and the Bridge is continuing to support the people in Copeville in various ways. This will be an ongoing effort but I am amazed at the amount of support they have been able to give to those in need.

January Service - Dessert for the Bridge Connection Dinner

Tuesday, November 25th

The Bridge Connection (www.thebridgeconnection.org) provides a community meal every month. Last year a group of Wylie Percussion students baked brownies for the January meal. We would like to do the same dessert this year. We will be preparing brownies for about 150 people. We will be baking on Sunday, January 24th. We are also accepting donations for the ingredients to bake the brownies.

The Bridge Connection Food Pantry and Clothing Closet

Ongoing Opportunity
The Bridge Connection opens up their food pantry every Thursday from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Since this is one of their busiest times, we have decided to help by serving on the second Thursday of each month starting in February. Students may sign up using the link below. One adult will need to be present to oversee the student volunteers.

It is understood that some students may not be able to start at 4:00.
