PRINCIPAL LINSKI NOTES - Week of October 30, 2023
Dear ISAAC Families,
We are excited to introduce our new and improved newsletter format – SMORE! Dragon Tales has transitioned to this digital version to provide you with more timely, user-friendly, and interactive updates.
As we embrace the beginning of the second quarter, I encourage our students to take a moment to reflect on the first quarter's experiences. Consider what has worked well and areas that offer opportunities for improvement.
This digital newsletter will serve as a valuable resource for staying connected with our school community. We hope you enjoy the enhanced features and find this format even more engaging and informative.
Thank you for being a part of the ISAAC family, and we look forward to a successful and productive second quarter!
Warm regards,
Principal Linski
Honoring Our Heroes: Veterans Day Breakfast at ISAAC
Every year on November 11, the United States pays tribute to the brave men and women who have selflessly served in the nation's armed forces, commemorating the end of World War I. Veterans Day is a solemn occasion for reflecting on the sacrifices and unwavering dedication of those who have protected our country.
This year, we invite our honored Veterans to join us for a warm and heartfelt breakfast to express our deep appreciation for their service. Our very own ISAAC Culinary Club, in collaboration with Mirsina's Restaurant in Old Saybrook, CT, is preparing delicious homemade baked goods to accompany a hearty breakfast.
Scheduled for November 10, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the Dragon Café, the Veterans Day Breakfast is a special event designed to pay tribute to both current and former active military members within ISAAC's school families and staff. Leading this noble initiative is Bobby Harris, ISAAC's Director of Safety, Security & Residency.
We warmly invite all current and past military members, whether in possession of an active military card or a DD214 paper, to reach out to Mr. Harris to secure their place at this memorable event. The Veterans Day Breakfast serves as a heartfelt celebration of the service and sacrifices of these remarkable heroes, acknowledging the profound impact they have had on our lives.
Bobby Harris, who himself served in the Navy from 1988 to 2008 as a Logistics Specialist, shares the sentiment, stating, "This is a great event for our past and present military families."
The Veterans Day Breakfast is a significant day for our ISAAC families and a heartfelt salute to all veterans, appreciating their unwavering commitment to our nation. To secure your place at this meaningful breakfast, please complete the Google Form Below or contact Director of Safety, Security, & Residency, Bobby Harris, at 860-447-1003 with any questions.
