Romeo and Juliet
The Lovers That Could Never Be
Who's to blame?
Since the two families hated each other Romeo and Juliet could have never been together in peace.
The Montagues and the Capulets fought all the time so when Romeo and Juliet fell in love it was very hard for them to be together. Each family fighting all the time Romeo and Juliet could have never been able to be together because of their families feud.
Tybalt said, “ Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe, A villain that is hither come in spite…” ( Act: 1 Scene V). This text shows that the Capulets think of the Montagues as villains and that they only ruin things. This is one of the reasons Romeo and Juliet could never be together because of the families. The head of the families would have forbid them to be in love or even get married.
Another reason that the Families are in fault for Romeo and Juliet killing themselves is that someone from each of the families died from the other family killing them. Whether it be an accident or be cause they were fighting. Benvolio ,a Montague, says, “ Tybalt ,here slain, whom Romeo’s hand did slay…” ( Act: III Scene: I). This shows that there is Capulet blood on Romeo’s hands. Which is a great reason why the two lovers can’t get married. The families feud made the Romeo and Tybalt fight and Tybalt ended up being the one that fell. The other death on the Montague side was Mercutio. Tybalt killed Mercutio in a fight they were having in town as stated here, “ Benvolio: Here comes the furious Tybalt back again. Romeo: Alive, in triumph! and Mercutio slain! “ (Act: III Scene: I).
Movie
One character analysis is Twilight. The movie Twilight shows how two lovers were supposed to never be and then they were. A quote that shows That Edward and Bella weren't supposed to fall in love was " And so the lion fell in love with the lamb" (Twilight). This shows that even though Edward and Bella should have never been they decided to know matter the consequences just like Romeo and Juliet.
Poem
This poem is " Neglect" by Chrissie Pinney. This poem shows how this girl was neglected and i can see how Juliet was neglcted from her choice on who she loved and it wasnt her choice that she loved him in just happened. The part of the poem that says," How dare you treat me as if this were my choice..."( Pinney 1). This shows about how it wasnt her fault.
