Ranger News
March 7, 2021
From the Principal
Ranger Patrons,
Term 4 Materials Pick-up for virtual students may occur daily in the main office during regular school hours, 9am-4pm. This Tuesday, March 9, will be another opportunity for afterhours pickup until 5pm.
Safety. RP will continue to follow the SAFE Reopening Plan to better ensure everyone's safety during the pandemic. Students are reminded that face masks and social distancing are required. Frequent handwashing and sanitizing will also be scheduled into the daily schedule. Recent updates from health officials discourage the use of face shields as a replacement for face masks. All MSD of Warren Township staff and students should wear face masks unless an extenuating circumstance exists and a face shield is needed. School administrators may approve the use of a face shield in these cases.
Students should not attend school if they are close contacts to a positive Covid case, are awaiting results of a Covid test or exhibit two or more of the following: ● A fever of 100.0° F or greater ● Cough ● Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing ● Sore throat ● Fatigue ● Chills ● Muscle or body aches ● Headache ● Congestion or runny nose ● Nausea or vomiting ● Diarrhea ● New loss of taste or smell.
Important P-EBT Update. The Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) has updated its estimated issuance date to February 28, 2021. For more information, visit https://www.warren.k12.in.us/article/388678?org=msd-of-warren-township, which includes links to the FSSA P-EBT webpage and FAQs.

2021 Summer School Virtual Courses (Indiana Online Academy)
This year Warren Central High School will partner with Indiana Online Academy to provide students with a virtual Physical Education option. Incoming freshmen who elect to take an online PE course will complete the coursework through Indiana Online Academy (IOA) with IOA instructors. These courses will be entirely virtual and will be conducted from June 7, 2021-July 18, 2021. Enrollment for these courses begins on April 5, 2021. Additional information will be provided at the beginning of April. Students who enroll in these courses will follow the timelines and guidance of the IOA program. Once a student successfully completes the course, the course will be added to the student’s transcript. These courses will be offered at no cost to incoming Warren Central High School freshmen. More information can be found by visiting their website at Indiana Online Academy Summer School.
Summer school registration will begin on Monday, March 8, 2021.
Students will receive an email with the summer school registration link at 8:55am. Spots are limited and there may be more interest than available space, so students are encouraged to register quickly. Students will complete the registration form to indicate they will be attending summer school, however, unlike previous years, students will not indicate which classes they wish to take. After receiving the registration information, the student’s school counselor will enroll the student in the required course and notify the student of his/her schedule. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Warren Central High School Assistant Principal, Matt Dingman, at 317-532-6216.
