I say that because, we have had our share of plans of how we thought it would be, to now getting ready to step into yet another, different stage. BUT, we knew this was coming and we having been preparing for it, but now its really here! I know that I have the right people and I know we are going to rock this, but I also know that there may be some concerns and questions and that is perfectly fine. Know that we will continue to do, what we do and do it together. I love ya'll and do me a favor, really, really enjoy this extended weekend!

Naming Process
- who Junius Peak was: fought in the confederate army , Texas ranger, member of the KKK, other street names like Carroll, Worth etc
- that our founders were unaware in the beginning and what they thought "Peak" was named after, and how once they found out immediately took action and made the decision that we must change our name to ensure we Stand and are named appropriately to who we are.
- and then let them begin to explore who we are as a school and what we want to be named.
I will send you all a quick video to share with scholars sometime this week. Enjoy this journey I'm so excited about it! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Scholar New Passwords
Hi, Aurora. Can you share this information with school leaders? These are dashboards where School Admin, Ops, and Teachers can find the new scholar passwords starting tomorrow afternoon. These are the same dashboards we sent out earlier this year, so this is just a reminder of where this information may be found. These are live dashboards, so they will not be updated to reflect the new passwords until tomorrow afternoon.

Learning Options Survey: Assign as HW
WE NEED YOUR SCHOLAR’S LEARNING CHOICE:
In preparation to welcome scholars back in our phased approach, we will be offering our 3 learning options as originally planned. In order to do so, we need you to select your child’s learning option by taking the short survey below. Please complete it for each of your children at Uplift by Wednesday, September 9th. Please note that because scholars are returning near the end of the first academic grading quarter (ends October 7th), we are asking you to pick your child’s choice for the remainder of the first semester which leads up to winter break. If you do not select a learning choice for your child by September 9th, we will assign them to the “in-person” learning option.

Attendance in Powerschool
When taking attendance, please make sure to change the date to the day prior. Scholar attendance and engagement is very important. If you see any absence patterns, please
communicate with Juanita. We rather you overcommunicate than not at all. Therefore, the ops team may reach out to those families and intervene early on to support them.
