Remember that Monday is a Professional Development Day for our staff, so no school for students. Enjoy a 3 day weekend!
Look for more information on our Fall Carnival, coming soon! We will definitely need some volunteers to make this night a special one for our students!
Thanks for your partnership with LSRO! We appreciate you!

Spirit Shirts Update:
Box Tops!
We are looking for some volunteers to help count Box Tops each week. This would be a weekly volunteer opportunity, where hopefully we could get a group of parents to count our campus Box Tops. It might be a good opportunity for some of our Thursday Exchange parents, since you come up each Thursday. We would love to have volunteers from each grade level. If you are interested in helping out, please email Joy Shepherd at joy.shepherd@lifeschools.net
Thanks!
From Our Music Teacher:
3rd-6th Grade Recorder Orders have been going home this week and last. All forms and money are due tomorrow! Please turn in to Mrs. Peterson by Sept. 22 at 3:45. If any forms are still needed, they may be picked up at the front office. Email Mrs. Peterson at cassandra.peterson@lifeschools.net if you have any questions.
4th-6th Grade Choir Club results will be posted Friday at 3:00 on Mrs. Peterson's door and both offices. The first LSRO Choir meeting will be Wednesday, September 27 from 3:15-3:45. Great job to everyone who auditioned!
From Our Science Lab Teacher:
3rd grade students are creating boats from reused materials that can hold weight and float: Empty water bottles/coke bottles, popsicle sticks, foil, plastic wrap, waxed paper, masking tape, styrofoam cups, plates, etc., plasticware.
4th grade students are designing a device that will protect an egg during a 20 foot fall: Old towels, cotton balls, empty kleenex boxes, playdough, rubber bands, plastic grocery bags, popsicle sticks.
5th grade students are designing a house that uses circuits to run lights, sound, and a motor in the house.
Shoe boxes or other small boxes similar in size, any items they want to use to decorate the house (please don’t send anything that needs to be returned home.) masking tape/duct tape/electrical tape.
Thank you so much for your support! I am so excited to see what the student groups create to solve their given problems!
Life High School Waxahachie Homecoming:
The Life High School Waxahachie campus is hosting their first ever homecoming parade on Thursday, October 12th. This is a Mustang Family affair and all of the schools and families are invited to participate. We want our little mustangs to experience this exciting event! The parade will start at 5! Plan to arrive at the campus around 4:30 to get a good parking spot and set up your chairs. See the following website for more info: https://goo.gl/pTKM3H
---PS: if you want to have a float for your group/class/organization sign up in the link above!
