GA Information for All

Message from Dr. Wrenn

Hello Pirates,


We have many activities occurring this month.


If you are a high school student, please consider visiting The largest college fair in our area will be Tuesday, March 19 at the Raleigh Convention Center from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The event is free, but students should preregister at www.nacacfairs.org/ncf to avoid the long lines.


Thursday, March 14 is a district early release day. Teachers will be in professional development. All students need to be picked up by 12 Noon on Thursday.


PTO meeting on Thursday, March 14 at the Granville Academy Tar River Campus in Room 103B at 5 PM.


All students need to complete the weekly plans and parents initial to make sure all students are staying on track and will finish the year strong.

Congratulations to Ayden Kaleel for making the baseball team and Kathy Velazquez-Tapia for making the soccer team at Northern Granville Middle School. Way to represent Granville Academy! We are so proud!

District Spelling Bee

Volunteer Form

Any parents who are planning to go on field trips, help with classroom activities or assist with school activities must complete the Granville County Volunteer Form.


This form is a requirement by Granville County Schools and performs a background check on applicants to make sure we keep our students safe.

NEW: Math, Science and Tech Support

NEW tutoring information and support sessions this week!


Join Mrs. Danielle Igims on Monday (3/11) and Wednesday (3/13) from 4:30 to 6pm for Math support at the GA Campus at TRES.


Math support will also be hosted this week at the Northern Granville Middle School campus on Wednesday (3/13) with Ms. Kimberly Allison from 4:30 to 6pm.


Science support is available this week on Wednesday (3/13) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY with Mrs. Bethany Young. Please complete this form to sign up! Please note, you must sign up in order to attend with Mrs. Young.

Granville Academy Book Club

Do you like reading for fun?

If so, join the GA Book Club! The book club is just beginning and is geared toward students who enjoy reading. A GA parent will be hosting the meetings and there are hopes to include fun activities such as discussions, book signings with authors, and SNACKS! Information for Grades 6-8

Field Trip: April 10, 2019

On April 10, 2019, the Granville Academy Middle Grades students are attending the 1:00 pm matinee of “Percy Jackson the Musical at DPAC in Durham. We have collected money, purchased tickets and filled our bus, but there are still tickets available at the box office if you would like to attend the show. This story is a middle school favorite.

Information for Grades 9-12

Attention Class of 2019!

Please complete the Granville Academy Class of 2019 form that includes information about upcoming senior dues. Senior dues will include senior breakfast, cap, gown, and 2019 tassel. All cap and gowns will be ordered and provided in time for senior portraits. All seniors must pay the senior fee in order to receive caps and gown. Graduation is Saturday, June 15th at 4 PM.

Attention all Juniors!

Granville Academy 11th Graders,


This is a quick reminder that the ACT makeup test from the February 20th date is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12th. The ACT will be given at Granville Central High School in Room 2500.


All Granville Academy students testing for the ACT should report to the main office by 8:15am. Pencils, scratch paper, and a calculator will be provided to all students for testing purposes. To ensure a successful testing day:

- Please make sure to get a good night's sleep before the test

- Eat a healthy breakfast

- Bring a snack for the break provided


As a reminder, the ACT assessment offered is a requirement for graduation, Thank you!
