Mitchem's Memo
12/06/2015
Welcome Back!
The three weeks leading to the winter break can be challenging so be ready! The mid-year locals window opened on December 1 and will be open until January 14. Grades 3-5 all have access points in their rooms and I encourage them to take the test with Chromebooks. Be sure to communicate your plans to use the Chromebooks during the window. I encourage everyone else to use the computer lab as the primary location for testing. You should have received testing directions from Lindsey Lillig.
The Edison Band and Orchestra will be performing at Lincoln on December 11th at 1:00 PM for grades 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes. Afternoon PE classes will be in an alternate location and will be communicated when that is determined.
As schedules change during these busy holiday times, be sure to let specialists and support staff know if they will not be going with them. This will save valuable time and is respectful of everyone's time.
I have been reading a number of the responses from the children that answers the prompt "What does the holiday season mean to you?" It is a reminder of how thoughtful and kind the children are. Please turn in your responses to the front office this week. I will select a few of the responses and read them at the Holiday Program.
Important Dates to Note:
