Field Trip

Don't forget to send in the permission slip and money for the trip to the Children's Museum. We will be going on April 7th. We will visit a folktale/fable display. Parents are welcome to attend.

Wishlist

  • Candy for our candy jar (peanut free)

Literacy

Reading-

We worked on writing summaries and retelling the story in our own words this week. Next week we will talk about opinion and showing evidence of those opinions.

Grammar-

This week we discussed conjunctions and interjections.

Writing-

We are working hard on our animal specialty stories. Final copies are due on April 8th. Students may bring these home over spring break to work on if they are behind. The expectations for this project has been emailed and a paper copy was sent home. These are also on canvas under "specialties".

Words Their Way-

No list next week due to the 4 day week.

Math

In chapter 9 students will learn some new methods to multiplying larger numbers. Please look at the family letter in the home links or on the Everyday Math Website if you need more explanation. Hopefully this method will let your child understand the concept of multiplying rather than just the steps to get an answer.

Science

This week and next week we will discuss fossils and how fossils are made. We would love to see examples of fossils if you have any at home.
