This week is our last official week of winter and I cannot wait for Spring! Last week's warmer weather has me itching for longer days sunnier weather. Even though we can feel Summer creeping up on us, it is imperative that we stay focused because we still have so much to learn! Please make sure your child is still reading at least 20 minutes each night and practicing their skip counting. If you're looking for some extra comprehension practice, reading on RAZ Kids and taking the quiz is good practice for home.
Classroom Notes and Reminders
Attestation Forms-
**IMPORTANT**
Before signing these forms each day, please be sure you have carefully read the whole form.
Thank you for completing this every morning!
Assignment Books-
Please check your child's assignment book each night and initial it. I check these each morning for signatures and special notes from you.
Reading Homework-
Reading with your child each night is one of the best ways you can help them grow as a reader. Even if your child prefers reading alone, asking them about what they read is a great way to check in on their comprehension skills. Please be sure your child is reading every night.
Math Homework-
After Christmas Break, we added a tiny bit of math homework for each night. Students will be practicing skip counting. The expectation is that they skip count aloud while an adult listens. If they make a mistake, tell them the correct number, and have them start at the beginning and try again.
