1st Grade: Represent and solve problems involving addition and subtraction. (1.0A.A.1)
DOK level: 2 or 3 (Skills/Concepts or Strategic Thinking)
2nd Grade: Add and subtract within 20. (2.OA.B.2) Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By the end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
DOK level: 1 (Recall)
Grade 3: Solve problems involving the four operations, and identify and explain patterns in arithmetic. (3.OA.D.9)
DOK level: 2 (Skills/Concepts)
Grade 4: Generate and analyze patterns. (4.OA.C.5)
DOK level: 3 (Strategic Thinking)
Grade 5: Analyze patterns and relationships. (5.OA.B.3)
DOK level: 3 (Strategic Thinking)
Grade 6: Compute fluently with multi-digit numbers and find common factors and multiples. (6.NS.B.3)
DOK level: 4 (Extended Thinking)
Pros
- User friendly
- Easy to follow instructions
- Can be used by multiple ages for multiple purposes
- Identifies what number you have selected so you can find one that connects nearby
Cons
- Dull Graphics could lead to user disinterest
- Lacks Consistency
- For DOK levels 3 and 4 the app could be too simple

- In the game we connect two numbers that create a sum of 10. What number patterns can we create that use three numbers to create 10?
