Nash News
Hello Nash Family and Friends,
On behalf of the students and staff here at Nash, we wish you and your family a very happy new Year.
Prior to break I had the opportunity to meet with each student individually to discuss their goals for the remaining school year. I was impressed with their preparation and their reflections on their own learning.
Looking ahead our student council will be running a homework club for students in grades 2 through 5. This group will meet every Thursday from 3:15-4:15 in the library. Students can receive sign-up sheets from their homeroom teacher.
Playground update: Thank you to all of our donors we have raised $16,680.00 Please see our Playground Campaign using this Link:
Parent announcements:
Please dress the children warmly. The weather has finally become colder. We use a weather chart to direct how long the kids should stay outside for recess. Studies show that children need frequent breaks, fresh air and movement for their physical and mental wellness. We strive to have them go outside as much as possible (weather-dependant). Recess Weather Chart
Cold weather has arrived and winter is upon us. We have a limited number of winter coats available to anyone who would like one. Photos with size are below. Most are new. . Please email Mrs. Gannon directly and will send home with your child. WE have more that are not pictured below. This will be on a first come, first served basis. Please reach out to Nurse Gannon for more information.

Ways to support math at home:
Student attendance is essential for academic growth and social-emotional development. We value the time spent with family, however, we urge you to take vacations when school is not in session. If you are having difficulty getting your student to school, please reach out to me, the classroom teacher, or our school nurse. We are all here to support you and our students.
