Amendments 3 and 13
Elizabeth Bray & Anna Wagoner
Amendment 3
Amendment 3 states that the government can not force you to house soldiers. This is important because it's not fair to a family to have to take care of a soldier without their consent. The family may not have sufficient funds and supplies to house/care for one soldier or more.
Amendment 13
Amendment 13 abolished slavery in the United States during the Civil War. This is important because it lets all men be free and equal. Equality is important because it gives all men the ability to live their own lives. Slavery was an abomination because it made African Americans lesser than white people.
