This week, students can continue to turn in their money to the front office and receive another chocolate kit to sell.

The last day of our sale is Friday, October 7th. ALL money is due to the front office on Friday, October 7th.

*If you prefer to make a direct donation to the campus instead of participating in the fundraiser, we accept donations all year in the front office via check or cash.

Lunch Cost and Cafeteria Information

A reminder that lunch is not automatically free to all students this year. All families should complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application in order to determine eligibility for free and reduced lunch.

The cost of lunch is $2.50

Lunch menus are available here: https://www.dvisd.net/departments/child-nutrition/menus

Students may also purchase snacks through the cafeteria line.

If you do not want your child purchasing lunch on their account or do not want them purchasing snacks, a note can be made on your child's account. Please email our cafeteria manager at Tanya.Pardo@dvisd.net


This month's parent/principal meeting will be our Annual Title 1 meeting.

It will be on Tuesday, October 5th and begin at 5PM in the library and will be followed by our PTA meeting.

Each school served under Title I, Part A must convene an annual meeting to inform parents of their school's participation in Title I, Part A programs, to explain the Title I, Part A requirements, how the Title I students will be assessed, how the parents will be kept informed, and the right of parents to be involved in those programs.

Thank you to our Kinder Room Parents and all who generously donated for our Kindergarten Grade Level T-Shirts! Because of this generous donation, shirts have been ordered for every kindergarten student and will be here for the fall kinder field trip!

Hello NCES Parents, Families and Teachers!

Thank you to everyone who went to Torchy's on Tuesday for the Spirit Night. The results are in, the sales were $972 for a total Donation of $146! It was great to see so many of you out there for Taco Tuesday!

We sent out an email to all members yesterday, Wednesday, September 28. Didn't receive it? Visit www.joinpta.org to be a part of this growing group OR connect with our VP of Membership, India Gallagher at india.s.gallagher@gmail.com to check your membership status.

Our purpose is to help students have a great experience while they are in elementary school. This includes supporting teachers and staff members, supporting student experiences and connecting families with one another.

Our next meeting will be in conjunction with the Title I meeting on Tuesday, October 4. Our portion will start at 5:30 p.m.

Don’t have the time to help out in person or the talent in Instagram worthy balloon arches? We accept donations via our Venmo at @NewtonCollinsPTA (look under the business section) or you can purchase a Newton Collins t-shirt. Reach out to Tessa Berry-Hathaway to get yours. They are $25 for adult sizes and $10 for children sizes. Her email is tillybean78@gmail.com.

We are also working on a fundraising/spirit Restaurant Night for Hat Creek Burger Company and Dairy Queen and we are working to have an account with Amazon Smile and Box Tops.

Volunteer Information

Parent and community volunteers are integral to our school’s success. There are many ways for you to get involved in our community. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the form below. We look forward to hearing from you!

All on-campus volunteers and parent chaperones for field trips MUST complete a background check and volunteer application. This takes awhile to process so complete yours now!
