Tech Tools
Two tech tools that I want to share this week are:
1. Piktochart - www.Piktochart.com this tool allows you to create infographics to post online to engage your students. You can create maps, charts, or other visual graphics that will help students to understand a concept more. Students can also use it to demonstrate their knowledge of a particular subject. Check out the website to see various creative examples of infographics created with this tool.
Here's a sample piktochart below:

Mr. Massie's students used Microsoft Publisher to create brochures showcasing a chosen biome. The brochures were to entice a creature from another world to choose their biome. Mr. Massie and his students were trying out Publisher for the first time and found it to be a good experience, and easy to use.
Below is a sample brochure that a student created.
SAT BOOKS IN THE MEDIA CENTER
Please encourage students to use the SAT and ACT e-books that are available in our e-book collection to help study for their college entrance exams. Having them in e-book format allows as many users to check them out as possible.
Students can stop by the media center if they need help accessing them.
