This week is Read Across America!
Benchmark 3 is up! Please refer to Shannon and Marie's email sent on Friday, 2/25 regarding Best Practices.
Directors and CRC's - Please plan to implement the Family Stakeholder Survey during the March PIM meeting. Families will also be receiving a direct email to the survey link so that we can encourage one survey per family.
Directors - if you plan to use the Educator Effectiveness Funds to pay for PD, you must complete the Expenditure Request Form (see link in the newsletter). (Thank you LDPMS for being on it!)

- Arts Month Planning is well under way! If you have events scheduled during the month of April, please notify Jamie McAndrews so she can add it to the Arts Month calendar.
- Directors and CRC's - please plan to have an Arts Family night during your April PIM.
Athletics in full effect!
- On Wednesday, March 2, the inaugural Knight softball team will have their first game vs. Dorsey High School. Please come out to support our athletes at 2:30pm at Rancho Cienega Park. Natasha Watley, two-time Olympic medalist and professional softball player, will throw out the first pitch.
- The first baseball game for View Park takes place on Monday, March 7 at 3:00pm at Rancho Cienega Park.
- Another first, View Park hits the water with their CIF swim team. The kick-off meet is onMonday, April 4 at 2:30pm at Fremont High School.
- Track opens their season on Friday, April 1 at Crenshaw High School for the Coliseum League relays. All schedules are on the View Park High School Web site.

Celebrations and Worth Noticing!
- As you may have heard, Dr. Tammarra Lewis has been promoted to Interim Assistant Director at VPPMS. We look forward to the future of VPPMS!
- Cheers to our Home Office Team Members who came out to VPPMS for our ICEF Shine the School event! What a great way to provide a service to our schools sites and strengthen the relationship between the Home Office and schools! Stay tuned for the next Shine the School event! (And thank you Blanca for doing the ground work coordination!)
- Cheers to Lauren Townsend, our Data Analyst, for continuously supporting schools with updating our EL information! And special shout out to Kyleen Fennema at Vista ES/MS for being on it!
- This Monday thru Friday, KDAY radio 93.5 will be promoting our recruiting efforts online and on air. A week later, they will start anew with info regarding Sports Day -- Athletics for All. Thanks Pat Jackson for setting this up!
