Back to Discovery

After our winter break, a few snow days, and rides on the weather roller coaster, it was good to get a chance to visit the Discovery Center in nice weather! We had friends from Kindergarten and 4th grade with us on this trip. We had lots of fun exploring and experiencing scientific forces involved in generating electricity, moving heavy items, changing the flow of water, and using the power of wind! We also got to pretend in the area called Discovery Town. We acted as shoppers, cashiers, newspaper reporters, builders, musicians, and TV News Reporters and Weather Reporters! Check out these pictures...

Ff is for Friendship and Vv is for Valentine's Day!

We studied the letters Ff and Vv over the last few weeks. In preparation for our party, we made beautiful cards for our friends and families! We used stamps, stickers, crayons, and markers and our improving fine motor skills to do very nice work! In Art, we used some of the same skills to make wacky Wednesday hats out of giant hearts.

We practiced writing our names to put on Valentine cards!

Spring is Coming! Spring is Coming!

Have you noticed that the days are getting longer? That's a sure sign that spring is on its way! In just three weeks, it will be Spring Break! We will be learning about other signs of spring as we study the letters Gg and more over the next few weeks.
