Dictionary.com’s app is exactly what its name implies. You can look up nearly any word in existence and whether you need a dictionary or thesaurus, you’ll find what you’re looking for. If there is any vocabulary unfamiliar to students, they can use this app for the definitions.
Kindle
This free app allows students to access millions of books, magazines, articles and newspapers on their device. This app lets you use all the features of a Kindle Book Reader without actually owning one. Students can use this app to have their own ebook copy of the Inconvenient Indian.
Evernote
This free productivity app gives you the tools for taking photos, crafting notes, creating to-do lists, and recording voice reminders, all of which you can tag for additional organization. The app even syncs content across multiple devices. This is a great app for educational purposes in general for organizing work.
Native American Pictures and History
This app provides real photos of Native Americans from various tribes. The app includes a full history lessons too.
However, this app is not free, it costs $1.39 in the Apple Store. Similar to Today's Documents, this app can be used for historical context.
Wikipedia
Although Wikipedia is not the most credible source for information, it is a great site students can use to start acquiring some knowledge on any topic. Students can use this site to gain information about the author and any other content related to the text.
