i-Ready Super Stretch School Award
Congratulations to Prospect Students and Staff. I wanted to share with you an email I received:
Your school is officially an i-Ready Super Stretch School.
After a review of your i-Ready® Diagnostic data from this past school year, your school has achieved remarkable Stretch Growth®! This is no small feat, and we hope you are incredibly proud of the work you, your staff, your students, and your families accomplished last year.
As you know, Stretch Growth attainment puts students who placed below grade level on their first Diagnostic on a path to proficiency, and it helps students who placed on or above grade level maintain advanced proficiency levels. Your dedication to your students and their learning has helped so many students reach this ambitious yet attainable goal.
What does it mean to be a Super Stretch School? Schools were selected for this award if 55% or more of students in your school met their stretch goals. Prospect is one of our top schools with 63% of students meeting their stretch growth. WOW!!! Only 14 schools across Illinois were identified by iReady-Curriculum Associates as Super Stretch Schools and you are one of them! Keep up the great work and thanks for ensuring students are in their pathway for 30-45 minutes per week.

Satchel Pulse
District 181 is pleased to announce the introduction of the Satchel Pulse Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Survey, a tool to help us monitor and improve the social-emotional skills of all our students. Teachers of students in grades K-5th will complete the survey for their classes and students in grades 3rd-5th will complete the survey.
SEL skills include developing healthy habits, managing emotions, setting and achieving goals, developing empathy for others, establishing and maintaining supportive relationships, collaborating with others, and making responsible and caring decisions.
Satchel Pulse is a student-friendly survey with 25 simple questions, which will be given during the months of September and March. Students use the survey to rate their self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship, and responsible decision-making skills. Information gained from this survey will provide our school team with additional information to best support our students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
If you have further questions, please email the D181 Department of Learning at dol@d181.org.
