Principal Outlook
"It is kinda fun to do the impossible". - Walt Disney
Almost time...
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of our Brauchle Cougars,
We can not wait to welcome back each of our Lil' Cougars and families. It is that time of summer vacation where we are getting excited and anxious to have our students back. We hope that each of you had a relaxing and fun summer where you were able to spend that extra time with your little ones. We are looking forward to hearing all their stories of how they enjoyed summer!
With the beginning of the school year quickly approaching us, we would like to share some information with you. Each month I will be sending out an electronic newsletter through Twitter, Facebook, and NISD's school messenger to keep you posted on what is happening campus wide.
This year our theme will be "Make Your Own Magic." We want students to know that we believe in every single one of them. We hope to make learning a Magical experience for all our students. An experience that will create memories that will last a lifetime. We will START the year off STRONG!
I am ecstatic to start the year off with our Brauchle Cougars! It is going to be an amazing year filled with endless opportunities for our students. We will continue to strive to work together hand in hand with our parents and community to ensure our students are provided with the best quality education. 2018-2019 will be a Magical year!
Respectfully,
April Mata-Tausch
Campus Construction
Brauchle is currently under construction, and is getting the air conditioning electrical wiring throughout the campus redone so our Lil' Cougars will be in comfortable temperatures while learning. Currently, our Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First grade classrooms are being worked on so our youngest Cougars can start the year off in their classrooms.
Second and Fifth grade will start the year in their classroom, but mid year be moved into other classrooms in the building due to electrical wiring getting done in their original classrooms. Our third and fourth grade students will be in the portables all year so their classroom environment is not disrupted mid year, as we will be moving 2nd & 5th grade classrooms already.
We do appreciate your understanding with the moves, as this NISD project is spread out into different phases of the building throughout the year. We are very excited to see the outcome of such a big project. Our AC will now flow equally throughout the campus, and the humidity within the classrooms will no longer be there.
The portables seem to be in great condition, and are getting ready for our Lil' Cougars!
The outside of the campus will also be affected by the construction/portables. The sidewalk to the right of campus (if you are looking straight at campus) will no longer be accessible to walkers and parents as there will be a fence blocking the side walk. The fence will close off the campus and allow students to enter the side doors so they could use the closest restroom
Again thank you so much for your support during our construction.
Meet the Teacher
Please bring your child's school supplies that day, so they won't have to worry about bringing them that first day of school! You can find Brauchle's school supply list here.
We will also be having Paletas with the Principal outside the school during Meet the Teacher. Please stop by to chat with me, and some of the other staff, and grab a paleta! I look forward to seeing all of your smiles!

Monica Anguiano, our Fabulous Vice Principal who has a heart of gold will begin her new adventure with another NISD campus. Throughout the time at Brauchle she built so many relationships with our community. She will be truly missed as she made such an impact on the lives of our students/community.
Maria Pittman, our Awesome Attendance secretary has also had an amazing opportunity in the district come up. She was a part of the Brauchle family and a face of the campus for many years. She would always greet everyone with her beautiful smile and hugs.
Both ladies have left their mark on us all. They will be missed! Their imprints will stay in our hearts as we wish them the best of luck on their new endeavors in the district.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Arrival Procedures-
Please be aware that the construction we have on campus will cause for the drop off area to be tighter because of the fence around the campus. So please take extra caution in our drop off loop.
Student supervision will begin at 7:00 a.m. Once students are dropped off, they can either go have breakfast in the cafeteria or wait with our other students in the hallway right in front of cafeteria. At 7:15, 2nd - 5th graders will move into the gym; 1st grade will move to their hallways. Kindergarten will stay on the stage this year once they are done with eating their breakfast; this will help keep all are students in one area.
Dismissal Procedures
At dismissal time, we will have all walkers and bikers exit the building at the furthest exit on the left (if looking at the school). If you are meeting your child that walks or bikes, please plan on waiting for your student at that exit (right by bike racks). If you are planning on picking up your child directly from the teacher, please be on the lookout for our new parent waiting area under the front awnings (closest to Car RIder #1 sign). We ask that you wait here until your child's class has exited the building and sat down in a line before making contact with the teacher to get your child. Please do not intercept your child from the teacher's moving line as they exit the building. We want to make certain that each child is accounted for, and gets home safely.
If you will be picking up your child in the car rider line, please be sure to display the child's name and teacher on your dashboard so that our routine will run as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We appreciate your support as our number one job is to ensure that every child gets home safely.
