Wedgwood Dress Code Reminder
With the weather getting warmer, please note these friendly reminders about appropriate dress for school.
1. Because our children use the playground every day, they need appropriate footwear. Flip flops and high soled shoes may cause injury when running or climbing.
2. Student apparel must be clean. Clothing should not be ragged nor should pants have frayed edges.
- Street shoes or sneakers are considered suitable for everyday school use.
- If sandals are worn, they must be worn with socks or stockings. This is necessary so that the foot will not be bare. The exposed foot is more vulnerable to dirt and injury.
- Sneakers must be worn for physical education activities.
4. Sleeveless undershirts designed to be worn under regular clothing will not be permitted as an outer garment.
5. Hats may be worn when outside of the building only and are to be removed when in the building. This applies to the hoods on a sweatshirt as well; hoods should not be on in the building.
6. Students may not wear clothing exposing a bare midriff.
7. See through/mesh type jerseys without an undershirt are inappropriate for school.
8. Student clothing should be reasonably neat. Students who look unkempt or unduly sloppy will be asked to dress more appropriately. When a situation becomes serious, the parents will be contacted.
Early Dismissals Begin June 12

Wellness Reminders For School Celebrations
In keeping with our district's Wellness Policy, please review the following guidelines regarding food and our school celebrations:
- Any food served during school celebrations/curriculum-related activities is to be store bought or purchased through the school district food service department.
- All food served during school celebrations and curriculum-related activities must be approved by the classroom teacher, in the interest of protecting students with dietary concerns and food allergies.
- Birthday celebrations should not include food; age appropriate celebration activities should replace the use of food items.
