PRE-K3 NEWS
JUAN DIEGO ACADEMY SEPTEMBER 9, 2016
Dear Pre-K 3 Parents
It has been a pleasure for us to get to know your children this week. It has been a little crazy but lots of fun! It is also an honor for us to have students like yours because even though they are the youngest ones in our school, they have been demonstrating good behavior and wonderful personalities.
Ms. Rocio and I are very proud of them. We have had a few students cry but not for very long. They are already making an effort to repeat what we say in Spanish!
Every week we will send you the names of some songs we are singing at school and even some prayers we are learning so you can practice at home with them.
This week as well as the coming week, we will continue learning our classroom rules. You must remember that it is a new language so it may take a bit longer than usual to understand the rules. If you have a friend that speaks Spanish or close relatives, they could be a big help with the practice they need to learn vocabulary.
If you have any suggestions or concerns about your children, please feel free to send us an email. Be sure and always ask your child what they learned at school each day. We are open to hearing suggestions from you and your children concerning our curriculum and what we can do to make it the best learning environment for you. For this reason, we will send home a monthly survey with some questions that can help us with concerns or suggestions you may want to convey to us.
We love to help our precious little ones. We like to take care of them as if they were our very own children. If you are interested in volunteering, we would love that. We really appreciate all volunteers in our classroom or if you can help with work at home let us know as well. Any kind of help is welcome.
Remember you must take the “Virtus” safe environment class in order to volunteer in the classroom. It is offered in various parishes in our area. Even though it is a 2 hour class, it will be good for 3 years. Please check with Berenice in the office for more information on how to find a location nearest you to get your “Virtus” certificate.
Thank you parents and best regards,
Ms. Rocio and Ms. Marseille
