This Weeks Concepts
Reading - Making inferences, asking questions, summarizing, compare and contrasting, reading comprehension, and working on fluency.
Phonics - Your child should know all of their letters and letter sounds. Phoneme blending, isolation and categorization.
Math - model addition as combining sets and adding sets, use concrete objects to solve addition problems. Use the plus symbol to show addition. Use concrete objects to show ways to make numbers 4-10. Model subtraction as taking away from or separating sets of objects. Use concrete objects to solve subtraction problems. Use the minus sign to show subtraction. Show ways to subtract from numbers 4-10.

May 9th-13th - Staff Appreciation Week
May 9th-13th - Book Exchange. Bring in up to 10 books to exchange for other books to read over the summer. Books can be picked out on Friday, May 13th
Thursday, May 12th - Mrs. Seckers returns
Tuesday, May 17th - All School Mass / Awards Assembly
Wednesday, May 18th - Report Cards go home / 6th Grade Graduation @ 7:00 P.M.
May 19th - Early Release - Field Day and Last Day of School (Students go home after Field Day)
