LaMotte School ~ New Website
Open House ~ September 27, 2016 @ 6:00 p.m.
Hello LaMotte Families!
Our first two weeks of school have been so successful! Thanks for sending your wonderful kids to us well prepared each day! Kids that are well rested and have a good nutritious breakfast are more ready to learn, thanks for preparing them!
On September 27 at 6:00 p.m. we will hold an Open House. This year we will begin the event with an all school gathering. The teachers and I will talk about the use of the Chromebooks in the classroom. We will help you understand how they are used and why they are such a great tool for students. Following this presentation, you will be able to visit your child's classroom. Teachers will go over their expectations and describe what a day in their classroom is like. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, but this is not a time for conferencing about your child. If you have concerns about your child specifically, please make arrangements to meet with the teacher at another time. Children are welcome to come - we will have an alternate activity for them so you can focus on the listening and learning! More information will come home next week. Hope to see you there.
Ask you child what THINK stands for! We are using THINK as a way to remind students to think before they speak and to realize that their words affect others.
Thanks again for all you have done to make this a strong start to our year together!
