Please call the office (do not use Dojo) if you are changing the way your child is going home from school or reporting an absence. This helps us communicate properly with teachers and allows for us to ensure all students are where they need to be when we dismiss for the day. We need to make sure we have everyone where they need to be so we can dismiss our busses on time. Thank you for your cooperation and help with this matter.
Communication is key to ensure a good day for everyone!
If you have questions about PowerSchool, Student Transfers, fees, updating emergency contact information, please call the office during office hours and the Building Secretary, Tammy Wood can help you. 815-648-2606
If your child will be absent, please call the attendance line at 815-337-8614: Please DO NOT report students absence Via ClassDojo
Please call the office by 1:00 pm to inform us if your child will be picked up early or there is a change in transportation. This allows the office time to communicate with the teacher.
Our Teachers are busy teaching during the day, please allow 24 hours for a response.
Parent Volunteers Wanted
We are also looking for gently used clothing for students to use in case of spills or other accidents. If you have gently used clothing, please contact the nurse to see if we are in need.

Important News About School Meals: Families interested in Free/Reduced meals must apply ASAP
USDA FREE MEAL PROGRAM HAS ENDED
Families who qualified for free or reduced-price lunches in the past must reapply each year.
Applications for Free & Reduced-Price Meals
The federal USDA program which provided free meals to all US children during the height of COVID has now ended, and the regular meal fee schedules are back in place.
- Only families who have filed current (2022-23) free and reduced-price meal applications, or who are direct-certified (and have been notified as such) are eligible for free or reduced-price meals beginning with the first day of school, with the exception noted below.
- Students who filed applications and qualified for the 2021-22 school year will retain their prior year free or reduced-price status as a carry-over for 30 school days (through September 30). After that, ALL students’ eligibility status will be determined by the current year (2022-23) application.
- Without direct certification or an approved application, families will be responsible for providing their child(ren) with a lunch, or lunch money.

District 200 First Class Pass
The First Class Pass is a courtesy pass that was established by the Board of Education more than 20 years ago. It is provided at no cost to District 200 residents aged 60 and over, in recognition of their long-term investment and support of District 200 students and schools. Interested persons must fill out an application attesting to the fact that they are 60+ and live within the boundaries of D200. (Applications are available online in the Community section of the district website, at DASC, and in the main office at all schools.) They’re given a card which entitles the holder to free admission to regular season home athletic events as well as most plays, musicals, concerts, and other special events that are sponsored by all D200 schools.
The card is not accepted for special events that are designated as fundraisers (like the Crosstown Classic) and IHSA regulations prohibit us from honoring the pass for post-season play. But for normal, regular-season games and events, cardholders should be admitted for free.
Feel free to contact Deb Walsdorf at DASC with any questions – dwalsdorf@wcusd200.org or x3405.
Technology!
Students will be keeping their Chromebooks over the summer. If your child's chromebook is broken or needs to be replaced, please submit a help ticket through the technology Department. You can access the link here.
If you would like us to keep your child's chromebook over the summer, have your child turn it into their teacher.
