PROGRESS
On Monday, your child will bring home a folder that we have been tracking STAR READING and MATH scores and addition and subtraction facts. There will also be a half sheet that shows the child's beginning and ending fluency scores (reading words per minute correctly).
At this point in the year, these are the scores that are expected:
STAR MATH 70%ile
STAR READING 60%ile
Fluency .... at least 90 words per minute.
Report cards will be sent home the last day of school.
STEP UP
On Wednesday, your child will visit his/her next year's class for 30 minutes. The experience of seeing the classroom and meeting the teacher will help your child feel more comfortable returning to school in August.
