Weekly Wrap Up & Announcements

The Book Fair kept us all busy this week! If you haven't had a chance to come and shop, please stop by before it ends next week. We have decided to make some adjustments to our Harvest Fest this weekend (it really is this Saturday-I PROMISE!) due to the expected weather. All of the games will now take place in the gym along with the art sale. Additionally, the teacher-hosted Trunk-or-Treat will be held inside the hallways. Gastro Geeks and Kona Ice food trucks will still be on site and we will still have drama, face painting and other fun in the cafeteria. For more updated information, please see https://www.smore.com/897cs-4th-annual-harvest-fest. We hope to see you all there!

On Wednesday, November 1st, PTO will host a spirit night at Swirls. Please keep an eye out for more information.

Also, please note, that all coupon book orders are due by Tuesday, October 31st. Please contact Ms. Ung with any questions.

Halloween

Elementary students will be permitted to dress in costume to school on Halloween. Costumes cannot include a mask or any type of real or imitation weapon. Teachers will be planning individual activities within their classrooms to minimize lost instructional time caused by school-wide activities. Middle School students are NOT permitted to dress in costume on Halloween.

Scholastic Book Fair

Our Book Fair will take place from October 23rd to October 30th. Daily Book Fair hours will be 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with the exception of October 24th & 26th (8:00 AM-6:00 PM) and October 28th (11:00 AM- 2:00 PM). We need volunteers! Please email Ms. Taverna if you are interested in helping out. More information regarding students visiting and purchasing from the Book Fair will be sent out soon.

Franklin Feast Dress Down

Our next dress down day to raise money for the Thanksgiving Feast is November 2nd. If you were not with us last year, the Franklin Feast (November 15th) is our time to sit down as an entire, 1300+ Franklin Family of students and staff and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together. Our middle school students buddy up with our primary students and great friendships are made and fostered. It's an event to remember. Please consider participating in both dress down days to help us make this event possible. The minimum donation for dressing down these days is $5 each day. Checks or money orders must be turned in to your first hour teacher to participate.
