Making a difference today to create a better tomorrow.
March 12-16, 2018
I BELIEVE You Matter!!
I Believe in Being a Top 20
Three simple instructions. One way to live. In the video clip above Daniel Pink, author of Drive, focuses on perspective. Perspective is a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view. What is your perspective as you approach each day? Are you willing to argue as though you are right, but listen as though you are wrong? Do you take the opportunity to see the world through another's eyes? Work to balance power and perspective taking. One way to live. Be a Top 20.
To James and Amy, thank you for organizing the March Madness Book Bracket! What an engaging, interactive way to foster the love of reading and promote positive culture within our Richmond Elementary community during the craziness of March Madness! Thank you for making a difference today to create a better tomorrow!

Reading is Our Super Power!
This week we continue to focus on our World's Best Workforce reading goals with emphasis on the Reading Pillars. Notice the keys in the above infographic taken from the article Learning to Read: A Primer Part Two. If we focus on one key or the other, reading comprehension is delayed, the suitcase won't open and reading comprehension is delayed. Researchers have identified the following four key skills to build stronger mental models to improve comprehension.
