Mononucleosis

What is it?

Mononucleosis, aka mono is a common illness that can leave you feeling tired for long periods of time. It can be spread through saliva, mucus and tears. Its commonly known as the kissing disease. Ways to prevent spreading it is to not kiss people, and share things such as drinks or toothbrushes. Common symptoms are, high fever, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, and weakness and fatigue. Symptoms usually occur 4-6 weeks after you have been exposed. Mono is usually taken care of on its own with time. Plenty of sleep and take tylenol or advil to relieve sore throat and headaches.

Black plague

This is said to be the most devastating pandemic in history. It was estimated to kill 75 to 200 million people through the years 1346-1353. It came from flees on rats. There was no cure, and 45-50 percent of Europe was wiped out within three years. People began to grow tumors on various parts of their body's.

Causes for yeast infections are, using antibiotics, high estrogen levels, diabetes and high doses of birth control. Symptoms are severe itching, discharge, irritated skin, and pain during intercourse.

tape worms

The main cause of tapeworms is when people eat under cooked meat. The egg grows inside your body and if you don't take care of it soon it will grow into a full worm, and produce more eggs inside of you. Symptoms are nausea, weakness, and abdominal pain. Tapeworms are hard to find, you have to go to the doctor and get it cut out.
