Contacting J/J During the School Interruption
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
Regarding the recent events that have impacted our nation, I would like to thank the School Committee and district leadership for their insightful statement. In my attempts to process the senseless deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, along with acts of hate and oppression, I rely on listening with intent and purpose. As I reflect on our school-wide commitment to the C.A.R.E.S. Curriculum, I am leaning heavily on the ‘E’ for Empathy. I have always been very fortunate to work with many dedicated and caring professionals. I look forward to the collaborative steps we will all take to “support efforts that oppose racism and oppression, and to continue to work to create a safe learning environment that supports all our students achieving their personal best and contributing to a better future.”
.
Most sincerely,
John Nieratko
CHROMEBOOKS FOR THE SUMMER
Jordan/Jackson students who borrowed a school chromebook should keep their chromebook over the summer. Students are reminded that these devices are intended for educational use and they should bring them to school when we return in the fall. Please note: more communication will come in the future about our chromebook 1:1 program for next year. If you have any questions, please email John Nieratko or Denise daGraca.

Under "normal" circumstances, our fourth- and fifth-grade students would have viewed a film and participated this month in lessons on growth and development taught by our physical education and health teachers. This curriculum will be covered for each of these grades in the 2020-2021 school year as follows:
The human development unit for the current 5th grade class will be presented at the Qualters Middle School as part of their 6th grade health course.
