Principal's Message
I really enjoyed spending this morning with the 6th grade. I was able to partake in a little PE to get me warmed up and sat in on some great social studies "shark tank" presentations. There is no better way for a principal to spend the day than interacting with students! As we push toward the final stretch this year, I encourage you to find the growth and success of your student this year and let them know! They are almost to the end of a school year like no other and their grit, determination, and resiliency have been amazing.
Although I am an educator myself and should no better, I have not reached out to my own kids' teachers to let them know how appreciative I am of the work that they have done. Next week is teacher appreciation week and I plan to make up for my negligence. I encourage you to do the same for our hard working staff here at GMS! To be honest, there was nothing that made me smile and raise my spirits more as a teacher than a personal note or email from a parent.
We have a lot to be thankful for at Grizzell with great kids, staff, and parents who create a wonderful partnership together!
Please enjoy the weekend.
Andy

Teacher Appreciation Week May 3-7
Teacher Appreciation Week May 3-7
Next week is a teacher appreciation week. Look for a series of videos celebrating our staff on our social media channels, and be sure to thank a teacher for everything they do when you see them in our community the week of May 3-7. It might be a nice opportunity for a kind email or note to a teacher who has made a difference this year or gone above and beyond.

Get the exact supplies your teachers requested without the hassle and aggravation of shopping at the big box retailers.
The deadline to order will be July 1st. The kits will be shipped directly to your home sometime this summer. You will receive a tracking notification email from FedEx when it ships. If you will be out of town you can request to pick it up at your local FedEx facility.
