Hello HMS Families,
I hope you had an excellent week. A special thank you to all of our Veterans, we appreciate you and your service to our Nation! We have a dance tonight from 5-7, entry is $10. Exact cash is appreciated! If you want to volunteer to chaperone, please email me or call. We have several important updates below. Please consider taking a few minutes to review each point.

- Winter Sports Sign Up:
The winter middle school basketball season begins on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Online Registration must be completed by 11/18/22. Online form includes the Concussion Education form, Substance-Abuse information, the transportation form, and the medical history questionnaire. If you do not have access to a computer, please contact the Athletic Director.
- Registration Link: HERE
- Physical Examinations – Submit a valid physical to the nurse’s office by 11/18/22. Physicals are valid for 13 months to the day of the exam – students with expired physicals will be ineligible to participate until a current physical is submitted.
- Athletic User Fee ($55) – User fees can be paid online HERE or by check made payable to the school. Winter user fees are due by December 16, 2022, after teams are selected.
- Game Schedules can be found on ArbiterLive. These schedules are subject to change prior to the season starting as we are finalizing the game schedule with all opponents.
- 8th Grade Washington DC Trip:
- Cost: The trip will cost between $1000 and $1400 per student. Scholarships (full and partial) will be available to those who request one. The exact cost will be determined once transportation, lodging, food and activities have been solidified.
- Dates: We have three potential options for dates:
- May 22 - May 25
- May 30 - June 2
- June 5 - June 8
- Itinerary: We are working with two tour company's to finalize trip proposals, more information on this is forthcoming.
Winter Coat Drive:
In collaboration with Anton’s Cleaners, Hale Middle School will be collecting gently used winter coats and jackets, all sizes are needed. The collection will take place from November 14, 2022 through December 19, 2022. All coats will be donated to families in need. Boxes clearly labeled “COATS DROP OFF” will be placed in front of the Main Office at the School's entrance. Feel free to stop by between 7:00 am and 2:00pm Monday through Friday to donate.
