KNext Steps presents: Bridgit Charandura Gooden '98

Since childhood, Bridgit has always loved movement and athletics! She graduated from Knox College with a Liberal Arts education, BA in Economics. In 2003 (then a Data Analyst), she was introduced to yoga and Pilates, and started attending classes regularly with a co-worker. In February 2008 she graduated from Pilates Teacher Training program (Mat and Equipment), and in October 2009 she earned her Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, in December 2010 she earned her Meditation Teacher Certificate. More recently, she has added Cycling and Onnit Trainer (kettlebell, battleropes, and other equipment) certifications. She has also been studying and practicing meditation with a dedicated teacher since 2009.
Bridgit has explored a variety of body-movement systems, including other forms such as: Shen Tao, Crossfit and Onnit classes; and has participated in Powerfit and Spartan competitions. She travels across Chicagoland area teaching what she loves to do, and has been invited to give talks on Wellness, Self-Care, Meditation, and on Stress Management.
Come hear about Bridgit's experience at Knox, arriving as an international student from Zimbabwe and then staying here in the States for work. Please register here to attend so we may plan accordingly for seating and snacks.

Auditions for The Glass Menagerie

Knox College Theatre Department will hold auditions for the spring term mainstage production of Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie on Wednesday, Feb. 28th (at 6:30 p.m. in Harbach Theatre).
The Glass Menagerie is an autobiographical "memory play" that explores the delicate history of Amanda Wingfeld and her two children, Tom and Laura. Featuring a domineering mother, a daughter lost in a world of music and glass figurines, and a son trapped between ambition and responsibility, this American classic examines Williams's struggle to reconcile his identity with his shattered upbringing.
No previous acting experience is necessary, and you do not need to be a theatre major to audition. All are welcome!

Knox Chamber Winds & Knox Chamber Brass concert

First Lutheran Church in Galesburg
Local area musicians will present a concert with exciting and stirring pieces, old and new.This concert will be presented in conjunction with the Knox Chamber Winds and Knox Chamber Brass Concerts at First Lutheran Church in Galesburg. Free and open to the public.
Then, at 3pm, the Knox Chamber Brass concert, comprised of Knox College students, as well as other musicians from Galesburg and the surrounding area, will perform pieces ranging from Mozart to Michael Landers, John Zdechlik, David Marlatt, Henry Fillmore.
