Canned Food Drive
The annual district Canned Food Drive begins on Monday. Please send in non-perishable food items (boxes of stuffing mix, canned vegetables, jars of gravy, etc.) to donate to families in need this holiday season. The class with the most cans collected will earn a prize, and if Cartmell is the winning school for the district, the kiddos get to make Mrs. Ray into a human ice cream sundae!

This week we will continue to practice finding the gist of a story, or what a story is mostly about. We will also look at informational text and features used in text, maps and other illustrations to see how they help us better understand a story.
We will continue to study Topic B where students will be solving problems involving grams, kilograms, liters and milliliters. Students will also be solving word problems with all 4 operations (division, multiplication, addition and subtraction) involving weight and capacity. There will be a quiz on Friday!
