Weekly Update from our Classroom
Ms. Fuller's Kindergarten Class
What's the Scoop?
This week the kids learned about the life cycle of a frog. They completed many activities with this unit. We have some tadpole eggs in our class room. This will give us the opportunity to witness the life cycle of a frog right before our eyes. Chat with your kiddos about what we did in this unit. I'm sure they would love to share what they learned.
READ, READ, READ!!!
I encourage you to continue reading at home with your kids, and encourage them to read to you. "Pretend reading" is a great pre-literacy activity. The kids have done a great job in class with their site words and have discovered many words to add to our word wall. Reading is beneficial to kids on so many levels.
Out & About
We had a great time on our fieldtrip to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. The kids were able to feed baby goats, and learn about life in the early 1900's. We visited an old school house, an Indian Encampment, an old Barber Shop, and the Blacksmith. Thank you so much to our parent volunteer, you helped make this trip possible.

Next Week....
Next week we will start our unit on Community Helpers. Some of our local fire fighters will visit our classroom and talk with us about fire safety. We will get the chance to see and hear the light and sounds of their fire truck. This would be a great time to talk with your kids about a plan in case of an emergency at home. The kids are excited to visit with the fire fighters, they already have all kinds of questions.
****Reminder****
I just wanted to send a reminder that Tuesday is library day. Please send library books back to school on Tuesdays so your child can check out a new book.
P.E. day is Tuesdays and Thursdays, please make sure your child wears tennis shoes to school, or has shoes to change into.
