Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!
A Message from the North Penn Curriculum Department
We hope you had a relaxing summer despite the unusual circumstances! It is hard to believe how quickly the summer months flew by, but we are excited to welcome your students back, virtually, on August 31st! Please know that you can find any needed school supplies on your school’s web page. However, textbooks and/or resources distribution will not take place until mid-September. Please stay tuned for a date and plan which will be sent in the near future.
The first few weeks of school are always spent building relationships, creating classroom community, setting expectations, and reviewing previously taught concepts. We will also be familiarizing our students with Canvas and supporting their social and emotional learning which is needed more than ever. We will continue to use Think Central (students can access online textbooks here) and have many other online resources at our disposal so rest assured that academic learning will occur as well.
Thank you and we wish you and your child a wonderful year!

The Guidance Corner on the North Wales Elementary School site has a TON of information for parents. Ideas on how to help your child make friends, how to talk to kids about difficult subjects, how to get through homework more easily, what to do if your child is anxious, and where to get help during a family crisis can all be found here. We hope you will check it out often!
