Quantum Numbers are Like Addresses
They help describe the location of orbitals and electrons
The principle quantum number n is like the town you like in.
In the Chicago, each town is a certain distance from the city. By giving telling someone what town you live in, they can tell how far you live from Chicago. Similarly, n tells you how energetic a level is.

The angular momentum quantum number (l) is like the neighborhood you live in.
L determines the shape of the orbitals in that set (s, p, d, or f). Similarly, in your neighborhood, which is part of the town you live in, houses are very likely to look similar to each other although they are not identical.
The magnetic quantum number (ml) is like the house/apartment you live in
Ml specifies a specific orbital just like your address number goes to a specific house or apartment.
