Luge
A Fun Olympic Sport
What is a Luge?
A Luge is a small one or two person sled where you lie faceup with your feet at the bottom. You can steer by applying pressure to the seat, or flexing your calves against the sled runners. They can weigh between 46 and 55 pounds for one person and 55 to 66 pounds for 2 people. Luge is a dangerous olympic sport where you can move very quickly. Speeds can be up to about 87 miles an hour.
