Parent Survey
In an effort to continue to gain parent and community feedback for the purposes of school improvement, we would like to conduct three, one-question surveys over the next few weeks. Could you please take a short moment to complete the survey?

OK2SAY
Today, our sixth graders had an assembly regarding OK2SAY. OK2SAY is a program that is supported and funded by the Attorney General's office that discusses the importance of being safe online, reporting inappropriate or bullying behaviors, and threats to individuals in our school community. OK2SAY allows students to report matters in a confidential way for the benefit and safety of students. Students learned that they can text, call, or download the app (on a phone or tablet) in order to communicate important issues that may be difficult to share in person. Our presenter (Mr. Felk) did a great job reminding students that they have many trustworthy and approachable adults both at school and at home but sometimes we feel pressure to not let down someone we trust.
Next week on Wednesday we have the Sterling Heights Police Department coming into Carleton to discuss the decisions our young people make and how it may affect them later on in life. They too will talk about the consequences of making poor choices online and with using Social Media.
The two above activities are a small portion of what we are trying to tackle during "Bullying Awareness Month." If you have comments or suggestions, we would love to hear them.
