Testing on Wednesday, October 16
On 10/16 first years will be taking the CogAT test.
In Plano ISD, the CogAT test is administered in grades 3, 5, 7 and 9.
Learners will need to bring 2 pencils with erasers that day.
2nd and 3rd year learners will be taking the PSAT.
This is a practice SAT and results will be available online through CollegeBoard in December or January.
Learners MUST provide their own calculator and pencils.
Learners were provided with a PSAT guide with sample questions and a list of allowable calculators on 9/20.
That guide can also be found online at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/psat-nmsqt-student-guide.pdf
Upcoming SAT/ACT
October 8 is the late registration deadline for the October ACT.
October 15 is the late registration deadline for the November SAT.
Senior Parents
Your counselor have suggested that learners have their college applications completed and submitted by October 31.
We know this time can be stressful for learners and their parents.

Collin College Dual Enrollment Forms (Juniors & Seniors)
If you are participating in the dual enrollment courses with Collin College, please complete and return the permission form soon.
Your counselor needs to sign the permission form and then that form should be returned to Ms. Lewis on a Monday or Wednesday when she is on campus.
If you do not have the appropriate forms, you can pick them up in the counseling office.
Ms. Lewis will be working with third years during Titan Time on October 11 to assist them with registration.
If you have any questions, you may contact Timberly Lewis at timberlylewis@collin.edu
