Copper Creek Bobcat Blast

A Note from Ms. McNeill and Mrs. Myers
Dear Copper Creek Families,
We hope you all had an enjoyable and restful Thanksgiving Break!
Monday starts a busy week. We will have our first outdoor winter chorus and band concert on Thursday, December 2nd. It may be chilly so you may want to bring a sweater.
Our popular Scentco Sell-A-Thon starts this Monday, November 29th. Bobcat families and friends can order their favorite scented products with direct delivery to their door. We will also have our in-person holiday shop opening up soon. Students really enjoy shopping for inexpensive holiday gifts for family and friends. Please see note from PTSA below for details.
As we return back to school, we would like to remind parents to be mindful of the DVUSD Return to School "On-Campus" Operational Safety Plan. Please remember, if your child shows any signs of illness or symptoms of COVID-19, he/she should not go to school. Working together we will continue to remain in-person learning.
Stay Safe & Go Bobcats!

COPPER CREEK IS HAVING A HAT DAY!
Hats and shoes, hats and shoes……Why hats and shoes? And what do they have to do with
Copper Creek staff and students?
Have you ever wondered why you see those paper sneakers hanging in the grocery stores from time to time? It’s because your shoe represents a footprint and you wear sneakers (well, you should anyway) when you walk a long way. Copper Creek students, their families and I will be walking a long way in April of 2022 to raise funds for research toward a cure.
We are kicking off our campaign with a FUN Friday FUNdraiser.
DATE: Friday, December 3rd
WHAT IS IT? WHAT DO I DO?
1. Staff and students may wear a hat for a donation of any amount toward research.
CHECKS can be made payable to JDRF. You will receive a receipt directly from JDRF for your TAX DEDUCTABLE DONATION.
2. Students can give a donation of ANY AMOUNT directly to their homeroom teacher on FRIDAY, DEC 3rd.
3. All students giving a donation will receive a paper sneaker with their name on it.
As a holiday thank you for your donation, we will have two drawings at the end of the
day, each for a $50.00 AMAZON GIFT CARD!
It is estimated that there are around 601 thousand children worldwide who have Type 1
diabetes (T1D), also known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes. T1D is a
condition in which the body cannot produce insulin, requiring people with the condition to take artificial insulin to stay alive.
By joining me, you'll be part of the lasting footprint we make for all DVUSD students with T1D, now and for generations to come.
Thank you in advance for your support!
