RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Following Early Check-Out Procedures - Students must have a note in the morning if they are checking out. Calling into the classroom causes interruptions and a heavy burden on the front office staff.
- Dress Code - Appropriate length shorts. Dress Code will be enforced through the last day of school. Please check to make sure that your child is not wearing short, shorts or clothing that exposes mid-drift.
- Change of Transportation - If your child wishes to go home with another student, both parents send in a note in the morning.
What a fantastic week! Testing is officially over. Thank you to our testing coordinator, Assistant Principal Ayo Richardson for a smooth and seamless testing period. The Band and Orchestra returned home from their respective journeys. Congratulations to Mr. Wilson and Ms. Burkhardt on bringing back three trophies from the Orlando band competition. Our Orchestra enjoyed their adventure to Gatlinburg where they played with a Bluegrass band and hiked the Smoky Mountains. 8th graders enjoyed Career Day and their celebratory dance, "A Night in Paris." Thank you to our Career Day guests for bringing the business world to our students by sharing their chosen profession. Thank you to the countless PTSA and parent volunteers for transforming the school into the magical city l'amour.
Next week, we begin device collection on Wednesday, May 15th through Friday, May 17th. We will need parent volunteers to collect our 1,000+ laptops. Please sign up here to help with the collection.
Enjoy your Mother's Day weekend,

Online Health & PE Course Info for Rising 9th-Grade Students
Clearing up some confusion on the "Online" Health & PE Courses Info for Rising 9th-Grade Students:
To register your child for a summer online course at the high school level, please contact Mr. WIll Jones at jonesw3@fultonschools.org.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- * To register your rising 9th-grader for an online summer course, you MUST contact your middle school guidance counselor for the class to count towards high school credit. If your child registers prior to their promotion from middle school, the counselor needs to APPROVE the summer course.
- ** Health must be taken in order for a student to get their drivers license, but not to get a permit. Students must present proof of high school attendance to the DMV to get their permit. To get their license, students must complete Health course which includes all DVM requirements. NOTE: Please research the Georgia Driver License Requirements to make sure your child's online Health class meets all the requirements.
- *** PE & HEALTH MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN THE FOUR YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL. They are high school graduation requirements.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- The high school Health & PE courses may be taken any semester as a .5 semester class or online during the summer. These .5 credit classes must be taken prior to graduation.
- Health is a requirement to get a Georgia Drivers License.
- Parents are responsible for the payment of online summer courses.
- Health and PE courses which are taken at the high school during the school year are free of charge.

WINTER COTILLION IS COMING...IN JANUARY 2020!
Save the date!! The Bridges/North Atlanta Cotillion is coming January 2020!\
We are excited to start our classes on Sunday, January 5 at The Country Club of Roswell! Come have fun with us while learning dance and etiquette! Registration will open November 1.
This is not your grandmother’s cotillion! The Seventh Graders will learn basic ballroom dancing and popular dance (Shag, Swing, Free Style, Line, and Slow), as well as many important social and professional skills the students will need to know now and throughout their lives. The Seventh Grade class will culminate in a Parents Showcase displaying the Program as parents observe all their child has learned. Students will also enjoy a 50's Party filled with games, contests, dancing, and pizza!
For Eighth Graders, the classes will review the basics taught in year one, and the students will learn many new dances including Latin, Swing, and Hustle. An extensive Table Manners segment will further develop your child’s social graces. Dating, interviews and making conversation will also be covered. The Eighth Grade Program will culminate in a Dinner Dance that brings all of the students’ new skills into practice. New students are always welcome in 8th grade.
You can expect your child to gain confidence in our classes, and learn how to greet, shake hands and converse with adults—an all-important skill as the dating years approach. They will also discuss social media etiquette! But most of all, your teen will have fun!
