  • Pilgrims were a group of people who were from England because wanted religious freedom and and settled in Plymouth
  • Puritans were a group of people from England who left for religious freedom from theAnglican church and settled in Massachusetts
  • Samuel de Champlain was from France and settled in Quebec in 1608. It was known as New France but is now known as Quebec

French and Indian war

  • Fought by French, English, and Indians
  • Fought over land
  • English won and won more land
