Principal's Message
September 8, 2017
What a great week! The first week of school is always exciting for staff and students. It was great to see students and staff reconnecting. The staff worked incredibly hard to make sure that their rooms were ready to welcome students. The students were clearly excited to see each other again as evidenced by the hugs and smiles. Many teachers found different and fun ways to have students share about each other and the various classroom expectations. To see more photos and videos, check out our Twitter feed and the Willink homepage as well as the ones at the end of this newsletter.
School pictures are next Thursday and Friday during your child's science class. 6th grade students received a flyer in their packet and 7th and 8th grade students received them in homeroom. If you need a flyer or more information, please contact the Main Office at 670-1031.
Monday night is a very important night for 7th grade students wanting to attend next year's Washington DC trip. The informational meeting begins at 6:30 pm in the cafetorium. If you cannot make it, please contact the Green House Office and they will get you the necessary information.
Have a great weekend!
Jim

Trip to Washington, D.C.
Important Washington Information:
a The FIRST deposit is a commitment to attend the trip. We use the deposit to determine how many students will be attending the trip and finalize the cost of the trip. It is, therefore, imperative that parents make this deposit on time. Regardless of the amount of money fundraised; a deposit is still required from all families planning on attending the trip. The FINAL deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and cannot be covered by the District, as most of the travel arrangements have already been paid by this time. Cancellation of the trip due to an international emergency and cannot be covered by the District.
a No student will be permitted to attend the trip who has not completed an Emergency Medical Form and submitted it on time. Please be prompt in handing in forms s as not to jeopardize going on the trip.
a Please let us know if your child is not going on the Washingon, D.C. Trip. Students who are not paid in full by June 1, 2018 (unless arrangements have been made ahead of time) will be unable to go on the Washington, D.C. Trip and will automatically be added to the Rochester Tour.
