Screenagers: Growing Up in a Digital World - Documentary
While our students are native to the digital age, they continue to struggle with how to balance and appropriately use the technology they have access to. SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in a Digital Age is an award-winning documentary on the effects of technology on our children's’ mental health. Dr. Delaney takes a personal approach on the subject as she explores concerns over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction in her own family. The documentary provides insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, to reveal how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
Held at Log College Middle School in Warminster, more information here Screenagers: Growing Up in a Digital World

Diversity and Inclusion Committee Update
On November 11th, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee met to continue working on their previously set goals from the September and October meeting. The Diversity Committee is proud to present holiday bulletin boards that reflect the traditions and cultures of the diverse population in our building. These bulletin boards, which were created by a group of 6th graders, can be viewed in the front lobby and will also appear on our daily morning announcements.
The Diversity Committee also finished creating and revising our Survey which will go out to students in grades 2 -6 in December. The team created a social story that provides student-friendly definitions for words such as bullying, gender, culture, and diversity. The social story will be read by all homeroom teachers before administering the survey.
Additionally, the team created a handful of affirmation posters that will be displayed in our student bathrooms. These posters are intended to be reminders for students to be kind to themselves and others. Lastly, the Diversity Committee is excited about our upcoming student assembly on Monday, November 25th. Again, the committee continues to work towards our mission which is to ensure we form a community that is welcoming to all students and families by creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity!
