St. Paul Newsletter
St. Paul School - Kevin Brever, Principal-December 19, 2014
Merry Christmas from the Faculty and Staff
When you awaken on Christmas morn
Know I am with you
As you begin your day thinking of all you have to do
Know I am with you
When you dress please wear this sweater of red and
Know I am with you
As you pull it over your head think of me entering your soul and
Know I am with you
As it touches your body know that I am touching you and
Our hearts will beat as one
For togetherness is what will be forever more
Christmas for me is everyday
Because I have you in heart in every way.
Merry Christmas
With Love
Faculty and Staff of St. Paul School

Thanks to the PTO for planning and conducting a successful Fall (Christmas) Raffle!
Congratulations to the winner Kim Beckman. She was wonderfully surprised! Also, special thanks to Hunter Settle Family (Hunter, William and Misty). They sold $540 worth of chances and received a $50 gift card. This is a tremendous showing of stewardship and we are very thankful for the effort they put forth. The gift card drawing for families who sold more than 20 chances was won by the Wilson Family (Maddie, Shawn and Kellie).
Last but certainly not least, congratulations to Mrs. Towles and the 4th grade for selling 103% (number of children divided by the amount of money returned) of the chances they received. The class will receive an ice cream party for their efforts.

"Polar Express in the Media Center" day - 12/19
Today was "Polar Express in the Media Center" day.
There was a showing of the online book of The Polar Express and then had fun activities for the classes in the library. Mrs. Trusty decorated the media center to like a train. It was lots of fun for the kids on this last day of classes before Christmas break.

Announcing the 2015 ProjectCSGIRLS Competition for Middle School Girls!
Calling all middle school girls! Are you interested in building an awesome tech project with social impact?
- If so, then register to participate in the 2015 ProjectCSGIRLS Competition for Middle School Girls! We’re looking for powerful, innovative, and disruptive thinkers for the nation’s largest computer science competition for middle school girls. The deadline to register is February 15th 2015 but if you would like to request a mentor, you must register by January 1st, 2015. The deadline to submit projects is March 15th, 2015.
- Your challenge is to build something using computer science and technology to help solve a social problem under one of three themes: global health, a safer world, and intelligent technology. We will recognize finalists, state winners, regional winners, and national winners.
- All regional winners will receive a paid trip to our national gala event in DC in June of 2015, where they will tour tech companies, participate in workshops, listen to guest speakers, showcase their projects, and be honored at a formal awards ceremony. This is your chance to win an invitation to the ultimate celebration for girls in computing!
- See the ProjectCSGIRLS website for more details: www.projectcsgirls.com.
- The competition is open to all girls in middle school (6th - 8th Grade) during the 2014-2015 school year.
