5 Reasons to Live
Juliet Nichols
Why keep living?
Everybody was put on this Earth for a reason. If you end your life at a young age you are missing out on so many things like finding true love, looking at your own family and feeling this indescribable amount of unconditional love, and being able to sit back in your own home looking at what you have accomplished and being able to say, "I made it." You won't get to experience life's greatest adventures if you decide to end your own life. It may hurt and be awful now, but that doesn't mean it will forever. You can make it through anything and when you do and your grown with a family of your own you can look back and see how far you have come from that one time in your life you thought you never would make it out alive. I don't think suicide is selfish, I think some people hurt so bad they think that suicide is the only way out, but it's not. There is alway a light at the end of any tunnel.
Reason 1: {Fam} ily ❤️️
My main reason to keep living is my family. They are my biggest supporters, my motivation to do amazing things, and my shoulder to cry on when I'm in need of one. My parents are my idols. I strive to make them proud, and I know that they will always have my back. My brother has really helped shape the person I am today. I look up to him as I mature and I hope to see myself doing as well as he is. I have learned a tremendous amount of things from him. I have learned what not to do in most cases, but also in that same breath I can say that I have learned life's simplest lessons from him. (Pathos)
Reason 2: Friends 🙆
Friends make the good times better. My life would not be complete without the love and support from all my friends. They are the only people I can see everyday and not get tired of. I can truly say that I would not be the person I am today if it weren't from the friends I have. (Pathos)
Reason 3: Pets 🐶
My pets are basically my world. There has never been a time in my life where I didn't have a pet of some type. I know my pets are only a little part of my life, but to them I'm their whole life so I need to live for them. I have had many dogs and cats, and every single one of them has become part of the family. When you lose a pet it's basically like losing a family member. You see them everyday and you see them learn new tricks, become part of the family, and go from this little puppy or kitten to this old dog or cat that has left a spot in your heart that will be there forever. (Pathos)
Reason 4: My own Future 🎓
I have only just begun to live. I have a purpose in life, and goals to meet. There are many dreams I hope to fulfill one day, and I need to live for my future and my future family. I want to be able to support my family, and pay back all the support that I have gotten. God put us all on this Earth for a reason and to have a life to fulfill. Even now the choices I make can reflect into the future, so I need to make the right choices now. Ending my life will eliminate me having a future at all. (Logos)
Reason 5: To Travel the World 🌍
I have always been a curious child. There is a whole world out there waiting to be explored, and ever since I was a little kid I have always said that one day I will venture out and explore the world. So, that would be a reason to live for me; so I can see the world. The world has so much to offer, and to give so why not just get out there and see it. (Ethos)
