Paradise Found!
She had a chance to visit the temporary campuses, meet former students and staff, and distribute $5300 in gift cards and numerous coats, boots and other clothing items to those in need. She says students were very grateful for the support and that it was a terrific experience to be able to witness these students and the Paradise community as they move forward.
Thanks again to everyone for contributing to better holidays for these folks!
Thank you to all who...

Entrepreneurship Class Visit Chick-fil-A
Ms. Lowell and the PHS Entrepreneurship class journeyed up to Chick-fil-A in Rohnert Park last week to learn what it takes to run a business like Chick-fil-A.
Jas Bains is the owner-operator, and former student and ASB President, Branden Garner, was instrumental in making the visit happen. Branden and Destiny (Banasihan), came to the site to guest speak on December 3rd to share their personal stories of college and career growth. Then on December 13th, we had a tour of the restaurant in Rohnert Park. For our final exam, Jas, Branden and Destiny will be coming back to talk business ownership, help us brainstorm getting our student store Troys back up and operational, and finally, conduct Mock Interviews. We appreciate the support of our community, former students, and business owners!

Project Graduation - Please Read!
Project Graduation has been a Petaluma institution that provides a safe environment for our graduates on graduation evening. This program was created in reaction to many tragic deaths on graduation night. Since Project Grad came to Petaluma about 30 years ago, there have been no students lost on graduation night.
But it takes a team of committed parents to make this evening happen. Rita Schafer has been leading Project Grad since 2014. Her children graduated in 2015 but she has continued to run the Project Grad ship nevertheless. She has been ably supported by a team that includes Suzie Ransom, Fidaa Shaheen, and many others. Now it is time for a new set of parents to step up! The current team will put on the June 2019 Project Graduation but now is the time to step up and shadow these folks as we look for leadership in 2019-20.
Please come to our next meeting on January 8th at 6PM in the staff lounge at PHS. Come and meet the team and see if this is a good fit for you. We want to be sure our kids continue to be safe on Grad Night!
