Thompson's Talk

Welcome back! It was great to see everyone back at school on Wednesday. On Thursday students read for 2020 seconds. It was a great day to start our Read to Succeed Challenge. Keep reading at home!

Please read below about a new drop off option. Wednesday we had 7 parents, Thursday about 15 parents, and today about 30 parents drop off in the back parking lot. By 7:27 there was not a car line at all. Thanks so much!

Please do not drop off in the back where our walkers come up the trail. It is a safety concern to have vehicles back where students are walking. Thanks so much for your help int his matter.

Mt. Peak Elementary Opens New Drop Off Line

Parents/Guardians will now be able to pull into the parking area in the back of campus by the playground. The gates to the back parking lot will open at 7:05. If your student is 2nd- 5th grade, you may PARK to let your student out to the sidewalk. For safety reasons, we ask that you PARK and not just pull through. You do not have to get out to walk the students to the sidewalk, just park momentarily and pull back out. There will not be adults or safety patrol to assist with opening car doors. If your student needs assistance, please pull around to the regular drop off area.

Students will follow the sidewalk to 2nd-grade hallway to enter the building and continue to the gym/cafeteria area until students are released at 7:20 to classes.

Once students have been dropped off, you may pull straight out to 663 without pulling through the normal car drop off line at the cafeteria.

Just a reminder that students must wear badges when attending a field trip. Please make sure on field trip days they have their badges at school. They use their badges to scan onto the bus. This helps us know exactly who is on the bus. Thanks for your help.

Calling all Dad's

Please fill out the Google form below if you are interested in being a DOGS, Dads of Great Students, volunteer. We need your help!

Cultural Tenet Survey

Thanks to those who have submitted a response for staff or a student exhibiting a cultural tenet. Staff and students are recognized on morning announcements along with a special prize. It is our mission this year to exhibit these qualities.

Please bring an ID into the front office each time you come in. We scan your license to print out a name tag while on campus. Our system was upgraded over the summer and the ID's that were scanned last year didn't save. The new system also only stores ID's for 30 days now. Thanks for your support.
